Japanese Diet Information


When people think of Japanese food, they usually think of ‘sushi’. If they think of sushi, they probably think of raw fish – which in its purest form is basically what it is!

What most people think of as sushi is probably more like sashimi for Japanese. Sushi is a general term for sushi/sashimi in Japan and is probably more close to the term of maki-sushi.

Maki-sushi can often be bought in supermarkets and fast-food shops in large western citiies. It is definitely a healthy alternative to a bag of french fries or hamburger!
